That Indy sure is a quirky child. She sleeps best at night swaddled. Yes we've gone back. She naps best with a blanket to hold and usually holds it close to her face. She's food aggressive and has not turned her nose at any new food that's been offered. She has separation anxiety even when I'm sitting right next to her. She may never crawl as she still hates to be on her belly. She's a people watcher and will gladly give up a nap to just watch kids in the park or people at the store. She finally likes to play Peek-a-boo. It so rewarding to have her smile when she sees you instead of the crying because you just did the hide thing. She makes mostly only grunting noises, some are happy grunts, others not so much. And she's happier in general now too. Just last week I told some stranger in the store who was ahh-ing over her big blue eyes, to not take it personal that Indy wouldn't smile at her because she doesn't smile at anyone. Now, she's smiling at me and Rusty and sometimes even those random strangers. Sometimes.
Kinsey had her first ever dentist appointment this week. It went way better than expected. She did AWESOME. She let the dental hygienist "count" all of her teeth, clean them, floss them then rinse and vacuum out her mouth. She never complained, refused, cried, nothing. She just did what she was asked. Then asked if she'd be getting her braces today.
On Saturday, we took the girls and our latest edition Flat Stanley to the Living desert. It appears as though Kinsey liked the snakes the most as she is still talking about them. Them and the Gila Monster that was trying to lick her. Gross! They were all behind glass, thankfully.
We took Kinsey to the carnival twice this week, Indy once. Kinsey had a blast on the rides and is definitely going to be a roller coaster kid. She's not a bit hesitant or timid about any of the rides. Not even after she slid off her seat while spinning in a tea cup. I foresee family Kings Island trips again!
As for Easter, we've made our cards and they've been mailed. Expected them sometime after Easter.
The girls are getting so big. It seem like it been forever since I seen them. Mamaw missing all of you very much. I love Kinsy's hair put up.
