In the world of Kinsey...

Kinsey has been big on favorites and naming things this week. Her favorite color changes everyday but her favorite number (3), letter (H), and movie (Toy Story 3) remain the same.  Yeah, I'm not sure either why or how you get a favorite letter! And we have a fairy named Bonnie and a seal (or as Kinsey would call it a seagull) named Paul and a shark named Paul 2. Or is it Paul, too?  She told daddy today that his name is Russell. (I hear Awwwwe's...)
We're learning shapes or perhaps that every shape isn't a triangle.  If we're able to keep the 2-year-old mind focused for a few minutes she can identify most of the nine on our chart.  I'm trying to get a video of her saying her ABC's but every time she stops half way and says, "lets try again!" The K gets two spots in her alphabet and there are a couple that are missing but she's doing awesome.  She's a wonderful work in progress!

On a side note, watching her stand in front of the TV tonight during the IU and Michigan State game repeatedly  saying, "Come on, Dude!" made me realize she's exactly what I would expect from my (and certainly Rusty's) daughter!

I thought I'd share a little of Indy's babbling.  She talks most while laying on the changing table, so that's where I put here.  Plus, you can catch a little of Kinsey singing at the beginning.

Enjoy.

No news and no teeth

Where we are at now:

Indy found out she has hands and she's slowly, slowly learning what to do with them, besides just sucking on the back of them. She's seeing toys, trying to grab them and trying to figure out how to get them in her mouth. She loves loves loves her daddy and her sister. She watches and smiles at them all the time. Me, not as much, she usually just wants something out of me. Literally. It seems I've been swimming in slobber for two months now, but no teeth yet. She's quite the talker and unlike sister, she's not saying anything that will get her in trouble. Just aaaahh, haaaaa and oooohh.

Kinsey is being a typical two year old. Trying to find the line of what she can get away with and what will send her to time out. She's a copy cat and a repeater. She seems to have had another growth spurt and is skinny. I'm happy to report that she is still very much in love with Indy no matter how much Indy cries. Kinsey is doing really well with her toddler bed and generally only gets out once a night and doesn't fight or cry when we take her back to her bed. She's a wonderful helper and is very proud of herself for being so. She has colors mastered and is doing fabulous on her ABC's. And, sometimes, can count to 10. She misses the family and wants everyone to "come to Kinsey's house" or "they come see me?"

Still no news on the promotion for Rusty. If I were a betting lady, I put $1000 on Rusty. Hopefully, the paperwork will get done Monday. He's worked so hard and really deserves it.

My student status is great. I'm not the oldest lady in the class. Class is on Tuesday and here it is Sunday night and I'm almost done with my homework for the week.
