Through the eye(piece) of a child...

Kinsey's trip to the store.

It starts at home. She took this one and said, "too dark."

Momma's truck

Again

Idk.

The white truck she promised.

The silver one.

The red one.

"Oh, mom. There's one."

Out of the parking lot and into the store.

She declared, "Pickles!!" She does not like pickles.

She does like fruit snacks.

"Look broccoli"

"...and they have corn!"

It's like she's seeing things for the first time. And is amazed that they have each thing. It's super funny.

My favorite!! Very smart self portrait.

Back in the car now.

Her view out the window.

Now at home and look who's awake.

In her room.

She stopped photos shortly after this when she announced (because of this very commerical)  that "we need to go back to Atlanta, because the Fresh Beat Band is going to be there!!" Remind me again, how old do you have to be before going to a concert? Even a Disney one.

Share a room

Last Wednesday, we sold the pool table. While the guy and five of his employees were here dissembling it, I said, "you wanna buy a couch? You got room on the trailer out there and it's a sleeper!" And he did and there was.
Uh oh. Kinsey is not going to like this, we thought. But as Rusty pointed out, she'll be okay once she realizes Indy's bed can go in there. True. So I gotta make that happen before she gets home. It really wasn't that hard to do either.
When I picked Kinsey up from school, I said, "I've got a surprise for you at home!"
"What, mom? WHAT?!"
"You don't have a couch in your room anymore."
Dirty look!
"Sister's bed is in there now!"
With a big o' smile on her face, she said (and I quote!), "What the crap?!"
When we got home, Indy threw her hands up and said, "whoa!" at the missing bed in what was her room.
Five nights later, Kinsey has slept in her bed all night long each night!! She even manages to sneak out of there around 8:00am without waking sister.

Through the eye(piece) of a child...

The other day the kids were particularly needy and naughty and not necessarily in that order. I was climbing the walls by 11am. Plan A was out the window because by 11am all the slides in town have been sitting in the sun for hours now and are too hot to touch. Plan B involved a mass text and a meeting for ice cream.
The ice cream was long gone but the dread of going home to needy and naughty had reared it's head, I went to digging in my purse.
Ah ha! Here take this. Occupy yourself. It will be fun.
And it she did! And it was! In fact, we've decided that it will be a weekly project for her this summer.
What is it? Oh, right. I gave her my small-fit-in-your-pocket camera.
"What are you going to take pictures of next week? You know you can do it at home or outside or at the park or" Interrupted.
"Trucks."
"Trucks? Like mom and dad's 'trucks'? That could be fun. Climb in and." Interrupted
"No. Blue. Red. And silver trucks."
"Well, the neighbor has a white truck, I'm sure you could." Interrupted
"No, blue, red and silver. When we go to the store, we'll see them."
"Okay Kinsey, sounds like a plan!" (Who even knew she noticed or liked trucks. Idk where that's coming from.)

Here's what she captured this week:

Austin's hand. He may have been her assistance or subject. Who knows.

Every girl needs to learn this!!

Hey beautiful! Good shot!

CUTE! I think this is my favorite.

Stay tuned for "Trucks" edition.

HFMD

Oh kids and their germs. Oh Hobbs and it's germs! I want to put a bubble around us. But then if they when the kids broke out of the said bubble they'd have such a weak immune system it would likely incapacitate them. Lose - lose. :-(
So, Indy has the dreaded Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. Not to be confused with Hoof and Mouth Disease. She is not a farm animal. HFMD is in the chicken pox family and occurs mainly on those areas. The majority of Indy's has been around the mouth. Thankfully not in the mouth!! She looks awful. I think she's turning the corner now.
Kinsey is miraculously symptom free.

Future freckle face

Last week sometime, I noticed it. Them! Noticed them.
Lou is starting to get freckles. Three of them thus far. Two on the bridge of her nose and one not far away on her cheek.
They'll be adorably cute until she realizes how much she hates them, like ever freckled girl before her.

GAH!!! As I look at there are in the photo (because I thought this entry would not be complete without a picture, I got the camera and snapped her nose while she was eating this morning), there are already more than three!

Easiest diaper change ever.

Today at PDO must have been down right exhausting. Indy pooped and fell asleep on the way home. We leave less than a mile from PDO. When we got home, I got her out of the car seat, took her shoes off, put her on the changing table, changed her #2 diaper, put a new one on her, wait! take her picture, finish the diaper, then put her in her crib. She never woke up!!! Now that was easy.

A new medium!

I've put the glue gun away. Not like away forever or even like away for a while. Just like away for this project. I've found a new medium! A really, really easy one. All thanks to some of my crafting favorites.
Paint! Fabric paint. Do you know how easy it is? Let me show you...

Okay, so I got a T-shirt. Cut the word(s) on plain o' paper with the Cricut to make sure it fit.
It totally fit! So I used the 'repeat last' function on the Cricut and loaded in some (da da da daaaa) contact paper! YES, it totally works in the Cricut! (Also, totally aware of the over-usage of the word totally!)
Now, that you've got that contact paper in place, paint it!!
Add a shamrock and let dry. Super cute! Super easy!!
Little Sister got one, too, but I'm not brave enough to let her try it on until March 17th.
