Valentine's prep work

We've started early. One month early. With two kids, two "schools" and a separate Valentine's party upcoming, I did not want a repeat of the Christmas panic. And, since I'm not really a buy a box of Scooby Doo Valentine's kinda' girl...
So, we had some great Valentine's colored crayons left over from Indy's birthday party. Two shades of red, black and white. Great, right?! Let's melt them. I mean, seriously, what else are you going to do with 12 of the same colored crayons?

First, peel the labels of them all.
Then let mom chop them up so Kinsey can put them in heart shaped trays.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 200.
Color.
Add some card stock circles and place the new heart crayon on top. Voila.
Wrap with paper, because you can't find an envelope that fits and call it good. These will go with Indy to Little school and Kinsey to Big school.
And then there's these adorable little things! They'll go with Kinsey to Little school.  They have Hugs and Kisses in them.
These here are our teacher gifts! Super duper cute!! "I have a Crush on you! XOXOXO,  Kinsey & Indy"

Be Mine.

Valentine's fun to keep us busy and celebrate along the way.

Place a marble in there to make your cupcakes heart-shaped. Festive!

Let Kinsey add sprinkles.

 Then lick the icing off.

And you get super cute, not really heart-shaped cupcakes.

Cut triangles from card stock.

Add Sweethearts to the triangles and your mouth.

Let dry.

Hang on yarn as a banner!

Use those left over candy canes from Chirstmas.

Let little sister get involved.  Shape like a heart.

 Place in the oven.

When that doesn't work, tell Daddy!

Add lollipop stick, melted chocolate, and sprinkles.

Let Kinsey "help"

 Allow for taste testing.

Display!

Tutu cute!

Valentine's for school.  Start with paper.

Add Fruit Roll-Up and an "I like the way you roll!" message.

 Roll it!

Bag it and send to school.

Have the girls pictures done. Frame one for dad, send others to family.
(ps. these will be late)

Roll out clay, press hand in it, cut with heart-shaped cookie cutter.

Add small hole and write "You touched my heart." Send one with daddy to work. Mail others to family.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
