A new medium!

I've put the glue gun away. Not like away forever or even like away for a while. Just like away for this project. I've found a new medium! A really, really easy one. All thanks to some of my crafting favorites.
Paint! Fabric paint. Do you know how easy it is? Let me show you...

Okay, so I got a T-shirt. Cut the word(s) on plain o' paper with the Cricut to make sure it fit.
It totally fit! So I used the 'repeat last' function on the Cricut and loaded in some (da da da daaaa) contact paper! YES, it totally works in the Cricut! (Also, totally aware of the over-usage of the word totally!)
Now, that you've got that contact paper in place, paint it!!
Add a shamrock and let dry. Super cute! Super easy!!
Little Sister got one, too, but I'm not brave enough to let her try it on until March 17th.

Motherhood changes your perspective.

Once upon a time, way back when I was in college and had roommates, there was a weekend in which both roommates were gone. I don't know why they were gone or how it happened that they were gone on the same weekend but I remember being happy about it. Ah, alone time.  I remember very specifically telling a friend that I was super happy to have the apartment to myself for the weekend and the first thing I was going to do when I got home was "pee with the door open!"
Today, I realize how great it is to pee with the door closed (and it not get opened in mid stream).

Home for Christmas

Being at our home for Christmas was wonderful. No hustle, no bustle. No stress, no drama (except for that oven door, which just finally got fixed on Monday!).
Kinsey slept in her bed the whole night, which was a huge present for both mommy and daddy. And around 7:00a she came strolling in to wake us up to open presents. 7:00am!

Getting started! Indy got a rocking horse that looks like a dragon. Kinsey's unwrapped gift was a bike
The first thing she opened was a Hopscotch mat she had been asking for, for months.
Indy opening a present.
Even Rocket made the Nice List.
Kinsey's gift from Indy.
HEY that's moms! You can't open it.
Getting some help from daddy.

Now she's getting it.
She likes it!
We told her to go put it in her pile. AND she listened!
Indy's gift from Kinsey.

What is it?
WHOA!
It's a LeapPad!!! (A month later and she still loves it. Totally worth all the trouble to get one!)
Daddy made the Nice List, too!
Christmas happiness is walking on wrapping paper!
And it was a white Christmas. Here in Southern New Mexico, it was a White Christmas! A real one with about 8" of snow. Good snow.  Snowman making kinda snow. Thanks for the Christmas present, Mother Nature.

So, I'm not done?

Mrs. Felts popped it on me yesterday that I need 30 Valentine's. 3-0! Not 10 as original thought, but 30! Okay, so don't panic. "We have time. We're leaving to go out of town for four days, but we've got time," I say to myself as I'm biting my nails.  Quick think of something. OR head to Pinterest and let them think of something.  Luckily, I had this really cute pin that looked something like my final project.
Take some pictures of Kinsey holding her hand out just right. And smile!

Take one!
Take nine! (I'll spare you the in between.)
Perfect.
Upload to Walgreens with a Valentine's border. Select pick up right away.

Cut hole above and below the hand. Add sucker!

Now, can I be done?
